  ENGINE IS BIG FAILURE 17 VEHICLES REPORTED IN DELHI AUTHORIZED DEALER WITH ENGINE FAILURE COMPLAINT IN MY SMALL CITY 3 VEHICLES REPORTED WITH ENGINE FAILURE SO FAR LESS THAN 3 YEARS OR LESS THAN 90,000 KMS POOR QUALITY OF SERVICE

  NO RESPONSE SO FAR EITHER FROM DEALER OR COMPANY AFTER SOLD THE VEHICLE VERY COSTLY TO MAINTAIN EACH SERVICE COST ABOVE 1 LAKH NOT WORTH FOR MONEY

  Whats Good

  This car is a good make by a good company. the engine, power handling & the drive are just superb i suppose the features offered are as good as compared to the top end selling SUV's in the market.

  What Can Improve

  There is a lot to be improved. 1. the car is very noisy, the leather seats makes a lot of squeky noises when running empty. there is a lot of noises from the dashboard. 2. the centre armrest box lid does not fit properly and makes a lot of noise on uneven roads. 3. the city mileage is just 7.70 per km. The company has done injustice to the car by not promoting the same despite it being a very good one. customers have not much choice for colors as the dealers just have black or white & are not ready to invest in other not so fast moving colors. as far as my knowledge this model dosent sell more than 5 to 10 cars in a month in the whole of india(No promotion to blame). Being a CBU the models available outside of india have much more features than in the care available here. like Hill descent, traction control. rear camera navigation(all these are available outside as standard. more over coz of being not a popular model there are not much accessories available for this car. i can go on & on but i dont want to do injustice to the car as its definately a very good ride..

  Noises inside the car are just too frustrating. had to send my car to service atleast 4 times in the first 2 months to get them rectified but still there are a lot of noises which are just not ready to leave.

  MY CAPTIVA CAR CAUGHT FIRE ON DRIVING, AND I HAD A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE,AND AFTER CONTACTING GENERAL MOTORS, NO RELIEF WAS SENT , EVEN AFTER ONE MONTH OF THIS INCIDENT, GENERAL MOTORS HAVE NOT BOTHERED TO LOOK INTO MATTER, I WOULD REQUEST TO ALL BUYERS, PLEASE DONOT BUY ANY CHEVY CAR, AS IT IS NOT AT ALL SAFE.

  Chevrolet Captiva XTREME, the latest purchase has increased my reputation in the society. SUVs have always fascinated me as I am a lover of speed and power. The Captiva XTREME can be complemented for its excellent muscular looks and comfort features. Bold wheel cut-outs and powerful shoulder lines are enhanced by the satin silver finish skid plates. I find the three dimensional head lights of this car quite impressive as it provide trendy look. The overall look of the car is enhanced by the chrome finished dual exhaust pipes and chrome lined window sill. Moving inside the car, one can have a glance of the spacious interior. To make Chevrolet Captiva XTREME a luxury car, the company has provided eminently crafted genuine leather upholstery in beige colour. The instrument cluster of this vehicle symbolises sophistication. Every equipment inside the car is located in proper place, which makes it clear that the designers of the company have delivered their best effort to design this master piece. Even though, I have spent above Rs. 18 lacs to purchase this SUV but I am highly satisfied by its performance. Captiva XTREME has provided value for money and I have positive hopes with this vehicle.
