Hyundai Creta EV

Model launch date:

Hyundai is expected to launch the electric iteration of the Creta SUV towards the end of 2024.

Variants:

The Creta EV could arrive in two variants, namely Platinum and Signature.

Feature list:

In terms of design, the Creta EV will look similar to its ICE version. Up front, it is likely to get a closed grille, silver skid plate, LED headlamps with DRLs, and LED fog lamps housed on the bumper. Apart from this, it will sport new alloy wheels, tweaked front and rear bumpers, and a new exterior paint scheme.

Inside, the electric SUV is expected to get a fully digital instrument cluster with a new interface, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, dual-tone interior theme, new seat upholstery, premium sound system, and a panoramic sunroof.

Battery, powertrain, and specifications:

We expect the Creta EV to be powered by a 55-60kWh battery pack. Although the power output is still under wraps, it is likely to return a range of up to 550km on a single full charge.

Safety:

The Creta EV has not been tested by an NCAP body as yet.

Competition:

Once launched, the new Hyundai Creta EV will rival the Tata Nexon EV and the MG ZS EV, as well as upcoming cars such as the Tata Curvv EV, Honda Elevate EV, and the Maruti eVX.
