All 10 Reviews for Hyundai Sonata Transform [2009-2011]
- MR Rajiv, I can get u a running condition Corola for less than 1 lacs as it's just useless, instead of throwing they will sell of such cars. As u said, u will get Sonata for lesser price but not that immaculate conditioned car which is as good as new one. Compairig Corola to Sonata, even Camary can't beat Sonata w.r.t. Space, comfort & style. 05 Lacs is nothing for a car which can handle a speed of 200KMPH that too very easily & smoothly. It's also a great safer & rigid built model. As a normal person u can't compare a diamond with an ordinary sparkling stone. Alike u must not compare my car with the other uselss cars in Delhi which are run in Bumper to Bumper trafic & worn out. A geniun buyer will come searching me one day..! But i may not sell it off, today my need is different, tomorrow may not be....! Best wishes, Swapnil..!
- I recently took a test drive of Hyundai Sonata Transform 2.4 petrol and had the best experience of driving such a powerful car. In my opinions, Sonata Transform 2.4 petrol is a perfect blend of power, luxury and performance. The car is equipped with appealing interiors which provide a classy look to the inner cabin. Moreover, the exteriors of Hyundai Sonata Transform are complemented by its big clear headlights. The car is packed with a powerful 2.4 DOHC VTVT engine, which has the displacement of 2359 cc. Moreover, the maximum power produced by the engine of this car is 172 bhp at 6000 rpm, whereas the peak torque is attained at 234 Nm at 4000 rpm. The five speed manual transmission of this car enables the driver to easily shift the car to a high speed. Along with a better engine, Hyundai Sonata Transform 2.4 petrol is incorporated with precisely crafted interiors. The wooden finish inserts on steering, leather finished gear knob and leather wrapped steering wheel adds to the elegance of the driver's cabin. In addition, dashboard and door panel of the car are also finished with wooden inserts to enhance the looks of interiors. Apart from interiors, the exteriors of Hyundai Sonata Transform are also provided with sporty looks to maintain its class.
- Its good to hear that someone buying a Hyudnai Sonata Gold, but please get the Clutch Proerly checked, as the clutch work is minimum 35k & varies upto 75K which i enquired with service people( HYUNDAI). I too got Sonata 2002, around 61K run, but the problem is the Clutch is quite tight & operates at the end play of around 1 Inch.... & as clutch cant be considered as warranty aspect, car can run further max, 15K Kms. afterwords i have to get the rectification done at any cost. Also check all Lether interiors, as Lether interiors will cost you around 1Lakh, & u cant replace only one seat if u have to do so, Also plz note that this vehicle will not give u good milage, Hardly 6.3Kms /L with AC in City which i have recorded till date. CNG Kits are suitable only for Diesel Cars & for petrol cars u can put only LPG,which are good i heard ( the newly launched direct injection type) which will never harm ur engine & pick up. Overall car is good but i would suggest you to please re think once again before purchasing as parking is the most most biggest problem, also all spares of the car are very very costly, I took the car because the distance i travel is hardly 13 Kms ( up & down from my office to home)& i use car only 3 times a week, other times whenever i go for long trips with my family /friendz. If ur travelling distance is more than 30 Kms per day then i suggest you to re think about some other efficient car, or think a big but Diesel car like Skoda Octavia which is as good as sonata.....else i suggest you to go with 2.7V6 model which will give u good pleasure like Mercedes Benz-S Class & milage of 4 to 5 Kms /L.... - The 2005 Sonata should be excellent a car to own at the right low price , if you are buying a second hand one. Its a very comfortable car to drive, quite comfortable to maintain. Doesnt really require much maintenance unless abused , regular servicings and check ups required. On performance, the accord fares better. You have have slight thudding on the suspensions and manouvreability slightly a question. City Driving: Expect nothing more than 8 kms/ litre Highway: Can go up to 12km/ litre at absolutely consistent low speeds. Avoid over revving up of the accelerator and the car is exceedingly smooth. You wont regret the buy. Go for it .
- The true mileage of Sonata is between 5-7 kmpl in normal city driving conditions. With AC on, it is between 4-5 kmpl. On the highway, it can touch 10 kmpl. I dont think there is much you can do but you can sure add an engine oil supplement which is used to enhance engine performance. go to a good mechanic and ask for engine oil additive. it cools the engine further and makes it smoother. the oil consumption too goes down.

- I drive a Sonata myself. It gives me an exact 8 km/ litre in city limits, consistently. My car also has given me an unheard mileage of 15kms/ litre of motor spirit while driving from pune to mumbai on the expressway at a consistent 60 kms/ hour at 3 am in the morning, without the AC. ( not advisable to drive @60 on the expressway though ). No gear changes, no clutch pressings, no braking. The best way in which you can improve the mileage of your car is get on to the overdrive at as less speed as possible9 40- 50 kms/ hr ). Use the first gear to just get ur car in motion thats it. Do not rev up on the first second or the third gears... . drive on the overdrive and let the car roll on itself without u having to accelerate unnecessarily. Drive as smooth and hiccup less as possible, avoid fast pick ups and sudden braking..... And of corse... keep your engine tuned up to date , injectors cleaned, and car properly serviced, tyres properly air pressured. Sonata is a wonderful car. Unfortunate, Indian mentality doesnt allow good cars to succeed. Regards, Anand 09930079901
- Me myself is using Sonata Gold 2002 for daily travelling from my home to office (around 12 kms one way) & in peak traffic conditions of Ludhiana i'm constantly getting the mileage of 8-9 kms p ltr. ofcourse with AC on. In winters it gives me 9-10 kmpl.
- I owned the Sonata Embera Petrol in Automatic Transmission. The engine is superb.Silent and powerful and as good as any.My problem is with the suspension.Something is seriously wrong somewhere and I'm sorry that Hyundai did not respond effectively.
- The Hyundai Emberra Transform[ Diesel ] is a fabulously spacious, refreshingly new a car in its class. If you have a penchant for high speed drives, A Superb performance is guaranteed from its responsive yet silent engine. The only problem that will go along with you buying a new transform diesel is its resale price [ more than 60% down despite 2/3 years of scarse use ] and the perception that is associated with this car. The Emberra Motor Spirit or its Diesel Version has failed to excite the average indian buyers in that segment, despite style, refreshingly new look, performace that is upbeat. You may want to specially check with a test drive, some rattling is inherent in its suspension that can be irritable on not so good roads. Do check for ready availability of the diesel manual version. Regards, Anand 09930079901
