Mercedes-Benz AMG GLA35

Summary

Mercedes-Benz has expanded the performance-focussed product lineup in India with the AMG GLA 35 4M. This is the third AMG model and the 13th CKD model to be introduced in the country. Customers can choose from five colour options - Polar White, Iridium Silver, Mountain Grey, Cosmos Black, and Denim Blue, and Patagonia Red (on-request colour option).

Exterior

As seen with other AMGs, this vehicle also gets AMG bumper with flics on the air intakes, vertically stacked slats on the grille with chrome inserts, and other AMG specific design elements. The sloping bonnet design is further complemented by the new Multibeam headlamps. As for the sides, the vehicle sits on 19-inch alloy wheels that are aerodynamically optimised and are painted in Tantalite Grey with a high-sheen finish. As for the rear section, the vehicle gets LED tail lamps, chrome inserts around the chrome, and two twin diffusers for efficient aerodynamics.

Interior

The vehicle features a flat bottom steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with the latest software version in the new telematics generation MBUX (NTG6), Mercedes Me Connected services, Burmester surround sound system, and keyless Go package. It also gets ergonomically contoured sport seats wrapped in DINAMICA microfibre with red stitching.

Engine

Mechanically, the AMG GLA 35 4M is powered by a 302bhp producing 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that churns out 400Nm of torque between 3,000 – 4,000rpm. This engine comes mated to the 8G-D CT transmission that transfers powers to all four wheels. This vehicle is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in just 5.1 seconds.
