MG Windsor EV

Model launch date:

MG is expected to launch the Windsor EV in India sometime in 2024.

Variants:

MG could offer the Windsor EV in four variants – Executive, Excite, Exclusive, and Essence.

Feature list:

Exterior

The international-spec Windsor EV gets a split headlamp setup, A-pillar-mounted ORVMs, flush-fitting door handles, alloy wheels, integrated spoiler, and a charging port on the left front fender.

Interior

The interior of the model is equipped with a freestanding touchscreen infotainment system, horizontally mounted AC vents, dual-tone upholstery, fully digital instrument cluster, and rear AC vents.

Battery, powertrain, and specifications:

The global-spec MG Windsor EV is powered by a 50.6kWh battery pack with a single electric motor setup having a claimed range of up to 505km on a single full charge. We expect the same specifications to be carried over for the India-specific Windsor EV.

Safety:

The MG Windsor EV has not been crash-tested yet.

Competition:

Upon launch, the Windsor EV will go up against the BYD e6.
