We informed you earlier that Maruti Suzuki India is planning to launch at least 8 cars this year. The company will launch various new cars and facelifts of existing cars in the country in the next 9 months. While the Swift Dzire facelift will be the first car to hit the market, another facelift product - the 2015 Ertiga is expected to Go on sale in Q2 of the calendar year 2015 (Possibly- June/July). The images of the updated Ertiga have already hit the web world, giving us some details about the changes on offer.
The 2015 Ertiga facelift will get changes to both exteriors and interiors. The front fascia of the MPV will get a new striking grille with thick chrome slats flanked by slightly modified headlamps. Other upgrades include new front bumper and chrome inserts in the fog lamp enclosures. The side profile of the MPV remains unchanged; however, the company has added black plastic mouldings on the doors.
At the back, the vehicle gets the restyled bumper, a thick chrome strip with Ertiga embossed on it is positioned above the licensing plate on the tailgate, and slightly modified tail lamps. Talking about interior upgrades, the updated model is likely to get new upholstery, an updated infotainment system (offered on the Swift facelift), automatic climate control, push button start, keyless entry, etc.
The Maruti Ertiga facelift will continue to be powered by the same 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines; however, both motors will be tuned to offer better fuel efficiency. If media reports are to be believed, the company might also introduce the AMT-equipped variant of the MPV in the market.
