According to a report, Audi will preview a new electric crossover concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. This crossover concept is rumored to be named the Audi “Q6”. Just so you know, the German automaker had teased the Prologue concept inspired crossover concept at its annual press conference in March 2015.

Based on the second-generation MLB platform, the Audi’s new full electric crossover concept will feature modern design and extreme aerodynamic styling that we have never seen on any Audis. Power for the crossover will come from a fully-electric powertrain that might be borrowed from the Audi R8 e-tron. This powertrain will offer a range over 500kms (310 miles) in electric mode. The plug-in hybrid and hydrogen variants might also join the line-up at a later stage. The crossover concept will take its design inspiration from the Prologue concept.
