Auto maker DSK Benelli has been in the news in recent times due to the rumored launch of multiple bike models. It is being said that the firm will be hoping to launch at least five motorcycles in the market. DSK Motorwheels also feels that a partnership with Benelli is going to be fruitful. Now, in a fresh development, the 150 cc TNT 15 bike has been unveiled in Indonesia. Experts believe that it would not be long before the automaker brings this model to the Indian market.

Reports claim that DSK Benelli is going to launch this motorcycle to compete with Bajaj Auto and Yamaha. In an interview to NDTV, a spokesperson from the firm said, "We are looking to bring in small displacement bikes to India and that has always been part of our plan. The TNT 15 is one of the bikes we have planned for India."

Benelli TNT 15 is powered by a four-stroke engine that has a displacement of 148 cc and is mated to a five-speed transmission gearbox. In terms of appearance, the Benelli TNT 15 is quite muscular and features a pilot lamp on chin of headlamp. A digital as well as analog speedometer is present along with an LED tail lamp. However, the firm will have to sort out a few issues before introducing this model in India as it can currently be brought only through CKD route and that would add to the price.

"Localization has been on the top of our agenda and we plan to go from 30 to 80 per cent with it. Once we are ready, the TNT15 will make its way to India" the company official added. DSK Benelli is covering good ground in India and if its strategy and prices are well directed, it could be a top auto maker in the coming years.
