French automaker Citroën has officially teased the new 2022 C5 Aircross facelift on its social media handles, hinting at its India launch. While the on-sale model was introduced in India in early 2021, the carmaker globally unveiled the refreshed crossover SUV at the beginning of this year. Citroën is expected to launch the new C5 Aircross in the coming months.
The mid-life facelift brings several significant changes to the Citroën C5 Aircross. To start with, the SUV features a completely new fascia including new daytime running lights and a redesigned bumper. At the back, it gets fresh taillamps that replace the four square-shaped taillight elements. Citroën has also bestowed it with newly designed alloy wheels.
Inside, Citroën’s crossover SUV comes with a revamped interior, bringing in a redesigned dashboard, fresh upholstery, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, and a new centre console. Additionally, the new C5 Aircross gets a toggle switch for gear selection instead of the conventional gear stick.
The brand is expected to continue with the same 2.0-litre diesel powertrain for this upcoming refreshed SUV. This engine makes 175bhp and 400Nm of torque. Having said that, Citroën C5 Aircross gets a range of petrol and diesel engine options, including a PHEV powertrain in some international markets.
