The much awaited hatchback codenamed S101 from Mahindra has been spotted once again undergoing road test in Nashik, Maharashtra. The one spotted is likely to be the production variant that would be up for sale sometime soon. Based on what could be seen, the hatchback gets unconventional ground clearance numbers. The bumpers are bigger and compliments the tail lamp assembly. The vehicle also sported a small rear spoiler and a rear wiper.
For now, Mahindra has not revealed the tech specs of the vehicle yet and it may be revealed at a later date. However, if sources are to be believed, the vehicle is likely to be offered with two new petrol engines and one diesel engine that may be based on Mahindra's very MHawk technology. More details about the vehicle shall be known at a later date. Post launch, the Mahindra S101 is likely to emerge as a strong competitor against Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Bolt, Grand i10 and the yet to be launched new Figo hatchback from Ford.
