Maserati North America has issued a recall for some of their GranTurismo and GranCabrio vehicles in the United States, due to a possible fuel leak problem.
Maserati has added that they are recalling a total of 33 examples of the 2016 GranTurismo and GranCabrio that were built in the period starting from 1st September 2015 to 30th November 2015.
The car maker revealed that a non-galvanized main fuel delivery line on the affected cars could corrode. In the event of this materialising, it could lead to a potential fuel leak and increase the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source. While Maserati maintains that there have been no casualties so far, dealerships have been directed to replace the main fuel line at no cost to the customer.
Maserati has not made any announcements regarding this recall in India, however, owners may contact their dealer to check if their car needs a fix.
