We are expecting three new car launches in India next month. While Mercedes-Benz GLC has already announced its dates, others should confirm the plans in the next few dates. Here are more details on the three cars.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC is schedules for launch on June 2. It will compete with the Audi Q5 and BMW X3 in the five-seater luxury SUV segment and should carry a price tag of around Rs 60 lakh. Initially it will be imported as CBU to India, though the CKD operations for the same are expected to start in few months.
Datsun had confirmed that the Redigo will be launched in June and we are expecting the company to stick to the plan. The bookings for the entry-level hatchback have opened last month and once launched it will take on the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 and Renault Kwid. The price announcement for the Redigo should happen latest by next week.
Volkswagen has commenced production of the Ameo at the Chakan facility last week and has also initiated pre-launch activities. The sub-four metre sedan may be launched towards the end of this month to compete with the Honda Amaze and Ford Figo Aspire.
