The popular Q5 from Audi has been performing well in terms of sales in India. The next-generation trim has been in-waiting for quite a while now. This time around, sources have managed to click the pictures of the upcoming variant that is stated to be based on MLB Evo platform that has also been serving the A4 variant. The upcoming trim is expected to be much lighter than the existing variant and has primarily been designed and developed for superior handling and fuel efficiency.
The new Audi Q5 is expected to be offered in Petrol as well as diesel variants. The petrol trim gets a 2.0-Litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, whereas the diesel variant shall also get 2.0-Litre four-cylinder turbo charged engine. Sources have also indicated on the possibility that the vehicle may also be offered with a 3.0-Litre supercharged V6 and a plug-in hybrid variant post launch. More details about the vehicle shall be known at a later date.
