Porsche, the Volkswagen Group's performance car division, has taken a few steps to reach out to more customers and boost its sales. The company, apart from a new price structure, has also announced six new dealers in the country. Talking about this, Anil Reddi, Director, Porsche India said, “Since our business establishment in April, we have been working hard to develop the basic dealer network. With the appointment of six dealers in less than four months, I am pleased to say that this has been one of the fastest business ramp ups in the luxury automotive sector”.

As per the auto maker's plan temporary facilities are to be opened soon which would accept orders and handle requests. Apart from the Porsche centre already present in New Delhi, the new six centres are to be opened at Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Gurgaon and Mumbai. All these showrooms are expected to gradually be operational by the end of 2013.

In order to provide maximum convenience to the customers, the new dealerships would be fully equipped with all the service facilities. Taking the facility a step further ahead, Porsche India has also kept specifically trained and fully mobile technicians in order to provide complete solution to the customers and support to aftersales colleagues.

The auto maker has also revised the prices of its models in India with Cayenne starting at just Rs. 61.40 lacs and its Panamera, Boxster S and 911 model would be available for Rs 99 lacs, Rs 80.24 lacs and Rs 1.12 crore respectively.

“The business set-up allowed us to rework the pricing for the entire model range and we are certain that our discerning customers will be pleased with the result”, Reddi further said.

“Our dealers are getting very strong enquiries of the Cayenne Diesel and the Panamera range. With the 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine and a basic retail price of under Rs 1 crore, the Panamera will revive the dormant luxury car segment and offer customers a uniquely styled, lavishly equipped and decidedly sportier option.”
