Renault has announced a price drop for the Lodgy MPV of up to Rs 97,000. The discount in prices is however restricted to only the 84bhp generating Lodgy variant. The base standard variant attracts a discount of Rs 97,000, RxE gets Rs 80,000, RxL gets Rs 56,000 and the RxZ gets Rs 34,000 in price cuts. The discount is effective from July onwards.
The Lodgy MPV from Renault has not been an impressive seller in a segment which is ruled by the Toyota Innova and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. However, with the fresh drop in prices, the company hopes to evoke customer response. As per the revised pricing, the base Lodgy is now priced at Rs 7.59 lakh as against the older Rs 8.54 lakh, RxE is now priced at Rs 8.57 lakh as against the older Rs 9.37 lakh, RxL is priced at Rs 9.44 lakh as against the older Rs 9.98 lakh and the RzZ is now priced at Rs 10.99 lakh as against the older price of Rs 11.33 lakh.
The Renault Lodgy comes with a 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine in two power outputs – 84bhp of power and 200Nm of torque, and 108bhp of power and 245Nm of torque. The MPV comes with two transmission options – a five-speed manual and a six-speed manual transmission options.
