Earlier this year, Hyundai unveiled the next generation ix25 at the Shanghai Motor Show. The model, which will arrive in India as the second generation Creta, was also spotted testing in the country. Details regarding the dimensions and engine specifications of the upcoming model have now been revealed.
The current generation Hyundai Creta is available with a range of engine options including a 1.6-litre petrol motor, 1.6-litre diesel motor and a 1.4-litre diesel motor. These engines will make for new units including a 1.5-litre petrol motor, 1.5-litre diesel motor and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol motor, shared with the upcoming Kia Seltos.
Dimension wise, the new generation Hyundai Creta will be 30mm longer, 10mm wider and 8mm shorter while the wheelbase will witness an increase of 20mm. These figures will take the new dimensions to 4,300mm in length, 1,790mm in width and 1,622mm in height. The wheelbase of the model would be rated at 2,610mm.
Hyundai India has not announced any details regarding the launch of the 2020 Creta although the model is expected to make its debut at the Auto Expo next year. Once launched, the model will take on the Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos and the Renault Duster. Expect the model to be launched with a price tag of approximately Rs 10.16 lakhs.
