TVS Motor has been testing its Dazz automatic scooter in India which was spotted on test by Sandy Yeluru between Salem highway and Electronic City in Bangalore. Sold by TVS in Indonesia, the Dazz is a small capacity model which comes with a range of features on offer, targeted at young buyers. Featuring a slim moped like exterior, the most interesting part about the partly camouflaged test mule was the speed of 105 km/hr which it was traveling at. The Dazz was relatively stable at high speeds with the engine running smoothly without making any noise.
Powering the current TVS Dazz is a 109cc 4-stroke, air-cooled engine which produces 8.3 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM and 8.34 BHP of power at 7500 RPM. The test mule was done up in white paint job while the grab rails at the rear were finished in brushed aluminum. The body receives no changes compared to the current model and was riding on 14-inch alloy wheels, while braking duties are performed by a 130 mm drum brake set-up at the rear and a 200 mm single disc at the front. Suspensions duties on the other hand come from a single shock absorber at the rear and telescopic front forks. The instrument cluster was the same as the current unit.
In terms of features, the Dazz comes with a phone charging point, open glove box, tubeless tires and parking brake. TVS retails a range of sporty scooters in Indonesia including Tormax 150, Neo XR and Rockz 125 along with other motorcycles. In India, TVS retails the Scooty, Wego and Jupiter scooters that are targeted at practicality and comfort over performance in different segments. While the Dazz would not be making it to India, TVS has promised a range of new products that will be launched in the coming months with the most awaited being the updated Apache motorcycle.
