  Indigo CS trouble free but for power windows

  Whats Good

  Solid engine with powerful breaks and good looking interiors with enough space for that price are the advantages of Indigo CS. Non stop running for as long as 700 kms is a simple thing with CS.

  What Can Improve

  Engine is a bit noisy and the power windows are utter failure. There need to be a lot done for power windows. Except these two defects generally the car is really good.

  If the engine noise is reduced and the power windows problem solved, Indigo CS has the right quality for that price.

  Tata Indigo CS best budget compact sedan

  Whats Good

  Good feeling of a sedan in this budget that offers good comfort for four people including driver. Very good leg room in both front and back seats. Gives clear vision of the road while driving.

  What Can Improve

  The only drawback of the car is its heavy accelerator unlike other cars in this segment. You can feel the threshold of the car at little above the normal highway speed. They really need to soften the accelrator for more success. The gear knob keeps on vibrating and i think that should be improved.

  I can spend some amount of money if they can soften the accelerator otherwise i'm planning to switch over to some other car in near future.

  INDIGO CS LX Diesel Ideal car for Middle class Indians.

  Since April 2009,I have been using in Nilgiris.My car taken us all the 4 Southern States.I changed front tyres in 40000 kms.Except oil service (around Rs.3500) every 10000 km and wheel alignment every 5000 km (around Rs.350 )& car water service every 3 months (around Rs.350) I never spent any money on maintenance.Not even a single bulb has not been replaced. Really Man Made Marvel !

  What Can Improve

  Engine should be refined to enable to go freely without changing gears in hilly hairpin bends.Steel quality to be improved.

  Some costly cars have some features and miss some.Here we have BODY COLOUR Front and Rear Bumpers,Body colour outside Handles,Body colour outside RearView Mirrors,Fog Lamps both Front & Rear,Inbuilt Antenna,HighVolume Glove Box with LOCK & KEY,Though no cupholders Two Front Door side Pockets are enough to keep 1 litre water bottles and so man things,Leather GEAR KNOB,Cigar Lighter,Power Steering,Power windows Front & Rear, Interior Courtesy Lamp both in Front & BACK ,CENTRAL DOOR lOCKING,Ashtrays in both Front & Back,Digital clock,Rear Defogger,Four Speakers 2 front & 2 rear,Front & back seat belts,Driver seat belt remainder ,DUAL HORN,,Rear Child- Protection DOOR LOCKS,Codriver Side Sunvisor with Vanity Mirror and a BOOT SPACE OF 380 Litres.( Many Auto Companies boasts about Hatchbacks costlier than this car but don't have enough boot space-what is use of such cars).I am 61 years old and before this I used Maruti 800.Omni,Alto,Santro & Swift.But I get maximum satisfaction and peace of mind.What else a man need ?

  TATA's indigo cs is a big let down on their brand value.

  the good thing is the cabin space and luggage space for the price.

  What Can Improve

  Ride quality and rattling. its a base model so no abs,rear sensors etc. In city traffic, driving is cumbersome in low speeds.

  for the price of 4 lacs at that time i thought it would be a good car but i was wrong. A maruti would be ideal anytime.
