Favorable points: stunning looks Surprisingly Easy to drive even in Bangalore traffic and mangalore's 'index-finger' roads Super AC effect for all from first row to third row, courtesy roof mounting Very spacious. Comfortable even in third row Clutch lever is very soft and gear shifting is absolutely easy In city fuel economy is about 11 kmpl and on highways it averages 16 without sweat magnificent on long journeys and equally comfortable on bumpy roads Negative Points: noise in Front left passenger door in bumpy roads Reversing needs outside help courtesy its huge body

I recently purchased the high-end variant of Tata Sumo Grande GX. After only driving it a couple times through extreme location in the country, I have categorised this massive vehicle as one of the best for driving on all types of terrains. I was instantly impressed with the muscular and grunge exterior design of Tata Sumo Grande GX. The aggressive exterior has striking features like distinct radiator grille with a honeycomb mesh background, body coloured bumpers, trendy graphics towards the sidelines and much more. On the other hand, towards the interior of the vehicle, the cabin is as grand as its exterior. A well spaced cabin is equipped with endless comfort-driven features that have proven to be very advantageous for long distance trips. Some of these luxury features include Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning system, dual integrated AC with roof mounted vents, electrically adjustable outside rear view mirrors, multi-stage height adjustable driver's seat and much more. For entertainment, the car has a high-definition music system with 6 speakers and an iPod port. Some of the best features that add convenience are the features around the driver's seat such as remote fuel flap operation, cup-holder and cigarette lighter on front console, arm rest for driver's seat, illuminated ignition key slot and adjustable light intensity on instrument panel.

I can always count on my Tata Sumo Grande CX whenever I decide to take a long off-roading trip around the country. I have only owned this vehicle for a short period of time but consider it as one of the best Sports utility vehicle from its class. The most commendable aspect about Tata Sumo Grande CX is the abundantly spacious interior that accommodates maximum of 7-9 passengers at a time. During long journeys, I find the cabin to have numerous features that cater a smooth and enjoyable ride. Some features include power steering, 3 position lumbar support for front seats, armrest on driver and co-driver's seat and more. Towards the rear seats, the cabin is quite spacious supporting excellent legroom and head room along with features like magazine pockets in the door pads and cup-holders and 12V power outlet for middle row. In my opinion, passenger safety has been given a decent amount of attention; however, the vehicle still lacks advanced safety equipment. Some of the available features are side impact beams, tiltable and collapsible steering column, fire resistant seats, child safety locks and anti-glare interior rear view mirror. My Tata Sumo Grande CX model has so far delivered a good experience with optimum performance, decent features and suitable fuel economy.

I have owned the older version of Tata Sumo for years and when test drove the upgraded version called the Tata Sumo Grande, I found the experience completely revolutionizing. If you are looking for a high quality and performance oriented Multi Utility Vehicle, your search is over. Personally I find the exterior to be one of the best qualities of this grand car which comes with a new chrome lined grille, side rub rails with chrome inserts and indicators on outer rear view mirrors (ORVMs). The interiors are not far different from the older version of Tata Sumo. The cabin has been upgraded by adding a different colour to the décor and has all the standard features like air conditioning system, CD player, power steering, power windows and central locking. Other features include compact steering wheel with floating horns, grab handles on the 'C' pillar to aid egress of third row passengers and new door handles. Although improvements can be made by adding leather seats and Anti lock Braking system. The engine performance, ride quality and handling, the car surpasses all my expectations. The engine performance is superb owing to the new age 2.2 litre Direct Injection Common Rail (DICOR) engine that comes with a variable geometry turbo charger. The ride quality, on the other hand, is favourable in lower speeds and you can enjoy a smooth bump free ride. The handling is good but can be a bit off balance if the car is accelerated. Finally, I can say that it is a much improved version to Tata Sumo and comes with an excellent ride quality and comfort. However, there is still loads of improvements required on the luxury quotient .
