Volvo EX30

Exterior:

The EX30 has a design identity similar to that of the EX90, which was unveiled last year. It features a blanked-off grille with a Volvo badge, Thor's hammer-inspired LED headlights, and a blacked-out front bumper at the front. The sides have blacked-out ORVMs, flared wheel arches, and a choice of 18- to 20-inch aero-designed alloy wheels.

Interior:

The EX30 cabin features a minimalist design with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system that operates on Volvo's Google-based system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The dashboard has no buttons or controls and a sound bar replaces traditional speakers.

Battery, powertrain, and specifications:

The Volvo EX30 will be available in two battery pack options. The base model will get a 69kWh battery and generate 268bhp with a range of 442km. The dual-motor variant will produce 422bhp, 542Nm of peak torque and can go from 0-100kmph in 3.4 seconds with a claimed range of 426km.

Safety:

The Volvo EX30 has not been tested yet for any crash test safety ratings.

Competition:

The Volvo EX30 will compete against the BMW iX1, Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
