Hyundai Verna has been in the news for the launch of its 2015 edition. A recent report has been noted, where it was said that the new model will be launched on February 16, 2015. The new model is based on the Hyundai Solaris Model, while bringing cosmetic changes to the car. Most of the aesthetic changes have been done to the front portion of the car. Hyundai Verna Fluidic is based on the platform of the international Hyundai Solaris and will be launched in the first quarter of 2015. The update is much required because of the stiff competition in this segment because of the Honda City and Maruti Ciaz sedan. Apart from the aesthetic changes, the car will also Go for a tuning in the engine. Hyundai is expected to retain the same displacements but with a better performance owing to an improved tuning. The car was initially shown at the 2014 Moscow International Automobile Salon Motor Show.
The headlights, grille as well as the bumper have been given a fresh appearance with an updated front bumper with redesigned fog lamps. Also, integrated LED daytime running lamps have been provided with wider air intakes. Apart from that factor, the LED based tail lamps have been provided with a black bumper insert.
The new model will have two engine options – the 1.4-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel mills, which remain unchanged. Mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox as compared to the four-speed for better fuel economy and performance. Verna has lost its pole position in the compact sedan category and looks to make a positive impact with the new updated version.
