The 2015 Mahindra XUV500 facelift, scheduled to launch on 25th May, will be the next major product that the home-grown automaker will bring-in. Though the company hasn't officially revealed the car's pictures, some spy-shots, doing rounds on internet, reveal all the changes made to the car. That said, the engine mechanism will remain unchanged.

- The 2015 XUV500 will receive substantial changes on the front fascia such as new Scorpio-inspired LED daytime running light, new chromed grille, revised headlight cluster and chrome-finished fog light enclosures. Moreover, the sides receive new alloy wheels and the rear gets, a slightly different door and chrome-garnished registration plate enclosure.
- The vehicle will get a new Plum shade and more colour options.
- The cabin, too, might get a new Plum shade on the seats, besides beige plastic inserts for up-market feel. Rest of the design elements and equipmentwill be carried over from the outgoing model.
- Power for the Mahindra XUV500 facelift will come from the same 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that is also found on the existing model. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 140bhp with 330Nm of torque. Paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, it gives a maximum mileage of 15.1kmpl.
- Set to rival against the Tata Safari Strome, Nissan Terrano, Renault Duster and Skoda Yeti, the 2015 Mahindra XUV500 is likely to be offered within price range of Rs. 11 lakh – Rs. 16 lakh.
