      2015 TVS Phoenix 125 launched at Rs. 51, 990

      TVS Motors has silently launched the 2015 Phoenix 125 in two versions - with and without disc brakes. While the non-disc brake version is priced at Rs. 51,990 the disc brake version comes at Rs. 55,899 (prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi)

      Talking about the changes, the 2015 Phoenix has received some new features along with cosmetic updates. The bike gets a new dual tone visor, new fuel tank with an embossed 3-D ‘Phoenix’ badge and angular tank scoops. However, the body panels and cowls look similar to the old model. Moreover, the vehicle can be bought in six new exterior paint options - White Night, Crimson Black, Cherry White, Black Magic, Midnight Black and Red Hot.

      As mentioned before, the bike also receives several new features such as headlamp with LED pilot lamps, hazard lights, new body coloured pillion grab rail, tachometer, fully digital instrument cluster and tubeless tyres. Furthermore, it gets a vehicle locator key that helps spotting the bike in crammed parking spaces.

      The new Phoenix continues to be powered with a single-cylinder, 124.5cc Ecothrust engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The engine delivers a maximum power of 11PS, while yielding a peak torque of 10.8Nm. The bike features hydraulic telescopic forks at the front axle and the series springs with gas charged suspension at the rear axle. The base trim of the commuter bike gets drum brakes on the both front and rear end, while the top-model is offered with a Roto Pedal disc brake upfront.
