When it comes to the love for cars, a name that immediately pops up in the minds of buffs is Aston Martin. The sheer brilliance of the models, their drop-dead gorgeous looks, the deep hum of their engines and their high-end performance is a constant reminder that this brand is superior than the rest when it comes to ruling the roads. Such has been the impact of this brand on the automobile industry that it has been often considered a car for the royalty. Cars of this British model have been used extensively in the James Bond movies. The brand has now decided to bring forth again its Lagonda make for a short period of time as a limited edition super sedan. This model, the Aston Martin Lagonda will hit the markets in 2015, and will be made available to the customers in the Middle-East region. Apparently, the British car maker has decided to make this car available for the customers only on the basis of invitations. Test models of Lagonda have been recently spotted, which has confirmed that the brand is looking forward to launch this model sometime soon.

The new generation Lagonda super sedan is designed based on the luxury sedan Lagonda, which was released in 1976 and boasted of a V8 engine. It was designed by William Towns. The company’s V8 architecture will be underpinned hugely in the line of the upcoming Lagonda series. Though official reports have not yet been released, but there are rumours that the all-new Lagonda series will be provided the 5.9 litre V12 of the Rapide S engine. This monster engine is capable of producing 550 bhp of power and approximately 620 Nm of torque. The acceleration is astonishingly fast and the super sedan reaches 0 to 100 kilometres per hour within a sharp 5 seconds. The top speed achievable for this model is 306 kilometres per hour. The best part of driving a car like Lagonda is its smoothness and it will partner the engine with a 6-speed ultra-smooth ZF automatic transmission gearbox.

Though there has been no formal announcement regarding the pricing of this car, it has been said that the cost of this car will complement the model’s exclusive nature, superior quality and luxurious appeal. It will be made available to its customers only on the basis of invitations. Additionally, the high-end model will be made available only to the Middle-East market due o its demand in that zone.

Marek Reichman, the Design Director of Aston Martin said, "The new model, like its exclusive siblings the One-77 and V12 Zagato, has been created as a piece of exceptional automotive art.”It has been designed and developed entirely in keeping with the spirit and ethos of previous Lagonda super sedans – notably the William Towns Lagonda – and as a tribute to this car it proudly bears the Lagonda nameplate."

Well, the new model is lined up for a release and it is definitely going to strike the right chord when it comes to luxury, class and exuding performance.
