      Bear Grylls is the new Brand ambassador for Land Rover

      Those who have a fetish for wild adventures and Land Rover now have an official connection. British television presenter and adventurer Bear Grylls has been roped in to play the brand ambassador for Land Rover. Bear Grylls has been known across the world for his “Man vs. Wild” adventure and his outright audacious acts of wild instincts from Artic to the Antarctic. Now, he has become the face of Jaguar land Rover just ahead of the launch of its Discovery series. The first model of this series, the Discovery Sport will be launched on September 3rd, 2014.

      The British car manufacturer, which specialises in SUVs, has released a statement that Grylls is the perfect personification of the words that the brand lives by, ‘Above and Beyond.’ The car maker also said that the presence of this popular television face and global adventurer will play a crucial role in the promotion of its new series of automobiles, the Discovery series. Incidentally, the launch of this series starts next month with Discovery Sport making a foray into the markets, globally. Grylls will take an active part to take the model into the lives of millions across the world.

      Grylls, when asked about his association with Jaguar Land Rover said, “I’ve used Land Rover vehicles throughout my life, during my military career, on countless expeditions and then while filming, from deserts and jungles to the highest mountains. They always deliver a rugged reliability that you can always count on when the chips are down in hostile environments.”

      Apart from this duty, Bear Grylls will also mentor 22-year old Alex Woodford, Land Rover’s next generation Explorer during an enthralling and adrenaline-pumping adventure that is scheduled to take place later this year. She was the winner among five dare-devil adventurers of the Discovery Adventure Challenge that took place this year in February. The competition included breath-taking acts like a slalom drive across the slopes with a 180 kg sled pull and a kayaking race across the rampaging waters of Lake Geneva. What comes of the Explorer adventure trip is something to awaited for as the two high-adrenaline adventure seekers join hands to try the untested and dive into the unswam waters of adventure.
