The AT variant of the Hyundai Elite i20 facelift has been spotted doing the rounds outside Chennai. The car is expected to be launched at the 2018 Auto Expo and is a mid-life update for the South Korean automaker’s premium hatchback.
We have already seen a plethora of test mules and know that the major updates will come in the form of a new face and rear section. The cabin too will get updates in the form of a revised feature list and probably some new bits of trim. The car that has been spotted is a mid-level AT model and is most likely the Magna variant as is the case with the current model.
The AT option is a four-speed unit mated to a 1.4-litre engine producing 99bhp/132Nm. This engine is only offered with the AT and is priced significantly higher than its manual counterpart, thanks to rules regarding petrol engines above the capacity of 1.2-litres.
