Toyota is working on introducing a facelift for their Toyota Corolla and images submitted to the European Union trademark and patent office have surfaced on the net.
The facelifted Corolla has a redesigned headlamp that holds a prominent chrome garnish that flows on to the grille. A redesigned bumper holds two distinct chrome garnishes that start from the grille all the way to the fog lamps. The rear end of the car also gets a chrome strip that separates the new tail lamps and lends a fresh look. New alloy wheels can also be seen on the facelifted car.
While information on the car’s mechanicals is still fuzzy, we can expect Toyota to retain the current engines; a 1.8-litre petrol engine that makes 138bhp and 173Nm of torque, and the 1.4-litre diesel engine with 88.4bhp and 205Nm of torque. These motors may find their way into the facelifted model with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Speculations reveal that Toyota may showcase the 2016 Corolla facelift at the Delhi Auto Expo.
