      Hyderabad cops come down heavy on bike racers, detain 330 youngsters

      Hyderabad cops taking a note of frequent bike races have decided to come down heavy on young bike racers. The Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police has reportedly detained as many as about 330 youngsters including students and underage riders. The cops have also seized as many as about 65 bikes from the offenders. The case was registered against their parents for allowing their children to participate in bike racing. They were also warned with dire consequences in case they allow their kids to participate once again in bike racing.

      The Osman Sagar Lake police reportedly received an information that some youngsters have been indulging in bike racing on Osmansagar bund in Gandipet. The cops immediately sprung into action and apprehended 31 racers along with about 13 racing bikes. Among the offenders 21 were reportedly minors and only two of them actually held valid licenses.

      In Hyderabad's, Ramgopalpet police reportedly detained about 300 youngsters including minors and students who were participating in bike racing on Necklace road. The cops reportedly seized about 50 bikes from them. Speaking more on it, the inspector warned, “We got an alert that some youngsters were conducting bike racing. Special teams including Lake police conducted raids and detained the youngsters. We have seized 50 bikes. We summoned the parents of the youngsters at the police station and provided counseling. If the youngsters were caught involved in similar offense next time, we will not hesitate to register cases.”
