      Maruti Suzuki organises a road safety plan with Maharashtra highway police

      Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the country's largest car maker, has officially announced a partnership with Maharashtra Highway Police to promote the road safety parameters in the state. This programme was inaugurated by the Home Minister of Maharashtra, RR Patil in the honourable presence of Ganapat Gaikwad and Anand Paranjape. From the side of Maharashtra highway police, K.P.Raghuvanshi, Vijay Kambale and Rashmi Karandikar were present at the ceremony. As a part of this initiative, a co-branded vehicle will be covering 9 cities of the state in order to spread the awareness on safe driving practices among colleges, schools and communities.

      Expressing his views on the occasion, Hena Kausar, AGM of Maruti Suzuki said, “As a responsible corporate, Maruti Suzuki has undertaken numerous initiatives to promote road safety across the country in partnership with state governments & local traffic police. The company has set up Institutes of Driving Training & Research partnering state governments and Road Safety Knowledge Centers in partnership with local traffic police which have been fairly successful. I am sure that even this initiative, in partnership with the Maharashtra Highway Police, we shall be able to reach the maximum audience to promote and instil safe driving practices.”

      In the Road Safety Campaign, a Maruti Suzuki co-branded vehicle and Maharashtra Highway Police will be patrolling across the cities like Pune, Nashik, Kalyan, Baramati, Thane, Nerul, Panvel, Vashi and Khargar. The co-branded vehicle will provide road safety messages and speeches to the audience, whereas on-the-spot games/competitions will also be organised for the audience to make them aware of safe driving practices.
