Mercedes-Benz India has become the first ever automaker in the country to open the largest workshop encompassing a vast area of 100,000 sq ft at the suburban area of Andheri in Mumbai. Auto Hangar, the Rs. 52 crore establishment is the largest service centre ever set up in India.
Mr. Peter Honegg, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, was quoted as saying during the inauguration event, "Going forward, world-class servicing standards will be the key differentiator and Mercedes-Benz will continue to create new benchmark and take a lead. We have been focusing on strategically expanding our network in India and this new world-class workshop is yet another step to move closer to the customers."
This new gigantic workshop possesses 54 dedicated bays with a high capacity of servicing 60 cars per day employing a pool of 159 highly qualified, efficient and well trained personnel to ensure high level of customer satisfaction. This Andheri based mega state of the art facility embodies highly spacious 5 independent floors that will be rendering round the clock service support, wheel alignment and balancing, paint jobs, car wash, polishing, body repairs, general repairs, tyre change among others.
Auto Hanger is equipped with the contemporary and advanced technology and diagnostic tools along with an intricately styled reception with plush customer lounge, completely engulfing the Mercedes-Benz appeal in infrastructural design and service.
