The German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz will launch the S63 AMG sedan in India today (August 11, 2015). Out of the 15 new models announced by the company to launch this year, nine products have already been launched with the latest one being the S500 Coupe, S63 Coupe and G63 AMG Crazy Color Edition.
Powering the S63 AMG sedan is a 5.5-litre V8 Bi-Turbo petrol engine, which is capable of producing a whooping power of 567bhp and 900Nm of torque. This powertrain is mated to a 7-speed AMG speedshift sports transmission that helps the car achieve 0-100kmph in 4.4 seconds. It has an electronic speed limit of 250kmph. Though, it still remains to see if India-bound S63 AMG sedan comes with 4MATIC all wheel drive system or not.
Coming to the design, the S63 AMG sedan will feature large air intakes, sporty front bumper, 20-inches AMG titanium alloy wheels, AMG sports exhaust and rear bumper with in-built diffuser. Inside, the sedan gets AMG Sports steering wheel, AMG sports seats with heating function and electrical adjustment, animated instrument console with AMG badging and aluminum shift paddles. It will be available with exterior and interior customization Designo program.
Just like the S63 Coupe, the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG sedan will be brought to India as a CBU (completely built up) unit. This performance sedan will take on the BMW 760Li, Maserati Quattraporte, Continental Flying Spur and Bentley Flying.
