Mercedes-Benz is likely to showcase the new-generation E-Class at the 2016 Auto Expo. The E-Class is one of the highest selling vehicles for the Stuttgart-based automaker and Mercedes-Benz will not want to lose out on that. There is a very good chance that the new E-Class will be launched in India by this year end itself. The E-Class is the best-selling sedan in its segment.
The new E-Class is a bit more larger in dimensions than the current E. But what is more crucial are the technologies that it packs in it. The new E-Class has several segment first features and this will raise the ante even further for the German automaker. What the E-Class will be assembled in the company’s Chakan plant. This time the localisation will see a further bump-up.
With there still being some time for the new 5 Series and the A6, Mercedes-Benz will be a further advantage over the competition unless they introduce the new-gen premium mid-size sedans earlier in India.
