Speak of sedans that offer a fine balance between power, comfort and style, the Toyota Corolla instantly gains a mention. The one that is currently serving the Indian market was launched at a global level around 2 years ago. This time around sources have managed to snap the new facelift in Australia ahead of its official unveiling. The facelift is likely to be offered in two new variants of which one would be India bound while the other would be offered for the North American market.
The India bound model of Toyota Corolla Altis is expected to be offered with 1.8-litre petrol engine while the diesel trim could be offered with a 1.4-litre engine option. In terms of upgrades the India bound version shall get extra chrome on the twin-bar grille, LED DRLs, fog lamps inserts and re-profiled front styling.
While the North America bound variant would share some resemblance with the Camry and the new Prius. The sedan would sport wider grill and bolder styled upfront. More details about the vehicles could not be known for now, it is anticipated that the India bound model could share some features and specs as seen on the Japanese variant.
