Last month, TVS Apache RTR 200V’s two different versions were snapped together in Indonesia. These models were differentiated chiefly the handlebar configuration, with one having the conventional, single-piece tube type while the second one are the clip-on bars.
TVS is likely to offer two types of handle bars on the new Apache RTR 200 4V. It is also considering the Pirelli tyres for the top-of-the-line variant. The other variants will be getting TVS tyres. The Indian model will get the TVS on all the variants, while the Pirelli will be majorly for exports. The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will be powered by a 200cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that will churn about 26bhp of power, 20Nm of torque and will have four valves (as the name suggests). The bike will be offered with a six-speed manual transmission and this will be an all-new gearbox that has been developed by TVS.
The launch of the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is scheduled on the 20th of January in Chennai, the Indonesian test rides will commence on 21st January on the Sentul International Circuit.
