      Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera S unveiled in UK, gets fresh upgrades

      The 911 line from Porsche has charmed car fans across the globe. This time around the company has unveiled the facelifted versions of the 911 Carrera and the Carrera S in the UK with some new new cosmetic and mechanical updates apart from the other number of driver assistance and safety features. The chassis for both the vehicles have reportedly also been reworked to handle more power.

      The Porsched 911 Carrera and Carrera S gets a 3.0-Litre six-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engines. Wherein, Carrera's engine generates about 365bhp of power with 450Nm of torque and the Carrera S generates about 414bhp of power with 500Nm of torque. This indeed means that both the vehicles get an increase of about 20bhp with 60Nm of torque.

      The Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe with Porsche-Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Sport Chrono Package is capable of clocking a 0-100 km/h in just about 4.2 seconds. The 911 Carrera S with PDK and Sport Chrono Package is capable of doing a 0-100 km/h in just about 3.9 seconds. The former is capable of attaining a top speed of about 295km/h, whereas the latter is capable of attaining a top speed of about 307km/h.

      As part of fresh upgrades the new vehicles get Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, seven-inch colour touchscreen, voice control, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The centre armrest gets a smartphone tray for further convenience. The PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) allows the car's ride height to be lowered by about 10mm.
