Tata Motors had recently sprung into action with the introduction of Revotron engine in the Zest sedan and Bolt hatchback. For a while now car buyers have been waiting in anticipation for the launch of Hexa crossover that is stated to be based on Aria platform. This time around sources have managed to capture the shots of test mule on the Mumbai-Pune expressway.
Sometime around the Diwali festival this year, the company may launch the new Hexa model, however the deliveries are likely to commence in January. The Tata Hexa crossover would be powered by 2.2-Litre diesel engine that would be capable of generating about 16 5bhp of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. The fairly powered engine is expected to be mated to five-speed manual transmission and a six-speed ZF automatic transmission.
As for safety, it is believed that Tata may offer six airbags, ABS and reverse parking camera system. Additionally, the upcoming Tata Hexa is also expected to be loaded with interesting features like touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth. The pricing aspect is unknown for now, it is likely that the company may offer it for around Rs 11 – 15 lakhs (Ex-showroom).
