Tata Zica sedan has been spotted on test as this is likely to be showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. The Zica sedan shares the same platform with the Zica hatchback and will be launched some time in 2017. The new Zica sedan has a similar front end like the Zica and the wheelbase too is likely to remain the same. This new compact sedan from Tata will be the third in its offering after the Indigo eCS and the Zest.
The Zica will have the same three-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol and 1.1-litre diesel engine that is powering the Zica hatchback. The Zica sedan will even an AMT transmission along with the petrol and diesel engines this time. This will be manufactured by Magneti Marelli and this will even trickle down into the Zica hatchback at a later stage. The new Zica sedan will be priced at Rs 4 lakhs to Rs 7 lakhs (ex-showroom).
As a part of the HorizonNext campaign, Tata Motors will be launching two new products every year and this year it is the Zica hatchback and the Hexa. Next year it will be Zica sedan and the Nexon. The compact SUV from Tata Motors is likely to find a place at the 2016 Auto Expo.
