Volkswagen having earned the title of being Europe's leading carmaker has also been going strong in the Indian market. Supporting claims, the carmaker has successfully delivered 300,000th car in the country. The car to achieve this landmark figure is the Polo GT TSI that was rolled out from thge plant. Additionally, the company has also inaugurated the new 3S (Sales, Spares and Service) based dealership outlet in Coimbatore.
Speaking more on the occasion, Thierry Lespiaucq, Managing Director, Volkswagen Group Sales India, “We believe this milestone marks the beginning of the next big growth chapter for Volkswagen in India. We have great appreciation for the confidence that our customers have in our cars, and we will continue to provide the safest, best-built and the most dynamically satisfying cars to customers.” Adding to this, another official stated that the company has been working on further strengthening its position in Coimbatore, India.
