Hero Motocorp that recently launched the 2015 model year Hero HF Deluxe and HF Deluxe Eco in India, has in fact started testing the 2016 Hero HF Deluxe in the country. One such test mule was recently spotted in the national capital. The new HF Deluxe facelift will receive various cosmetic and mechanical updates.
Powering the new HF Deluxe will be a new 100cc 4-stroke engine that will produce more power than the existing model, though similar torque to the existing 97cc SOHC in-line engine, i.e. 8.05N at 5, 000rpm. This new powertrain will feature a 4-speed transmission, and likely to be more fuel efficient than the existing one.
The test mule was completely camouflaged, though the grab handle, suspension cover and taillights were clearly visible. So, we expected it to receive substantial changes on the fuel tank and headlights. The rear turn indicators and taillight cluster will also see some changes. The bike will get new body graphics, stickers and color options. The new model will be lighter than the existing one that will aid to its ride quality and handling.
For people not in the know, Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch a bunch of new models and facelifts in the Indian market within next 12-18 months. The products that the bikemaker will bring-in are Hero HX250R, Hero Hastur, Hero Impulse, Hero ZIR 150cc scooter and Hero Leap Hybrid Scooter.
