      The German pioneers of luxury driving BMW has launched its new 6 Series Gran Coupe in the country along with launching the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week. BMW Group India President, Philipp von Sahr said, “In India people spend money on real estate, children’s education, marriage and jewellery but not on luxury cars. India has the largest number of affluent people who do not own a luxury car. By combining fashion with luxury, BMW expects to push sales.” He also said, “Indian designers have to be dynamic, precise and accurate while making their products to give their customers joy. BMW also focuses on the same to provide a joy of driving, leading to a good partnership.”

      The new 6 Series Gran Coupe has been priced at Rs 1.14 crores for the 64d Eminence model and can Go up to 1.21 crores, which is the tag for the 640d Design Pure Experience model. The car will be available on the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) unit. Mechanistically, the car will be powered by a 3.0-litre, six cylinder diesel mill, which will produce power of 313 bhp and 630 Nm of torque. Mated to an eight-speed dual clutch transmission and is capable of reaching 100 kilometres an hour from rest in a mere five seconds with a top speed of 250 kilometres per hour.

      Along with the launch of the vehicle, the BMW India Bridal Fashion Week will be organised, which will see designers like Shantanu Nikhil, Suneet Verma, J J Valaya and Tarun Tahiliani to name a few. The bridal collection will be showcased at Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. Also, the new dealerships at Ludhiana, Vijaywada and Rajkot were talked about and these new addition will boost sales. Mobile showrooms are also being taken to smaller locations like Udaipur.
