The powerful American muscle car Mustang from Ford is finally expected to launch in India on 28th January, 2016. The popular model has been due for launch for a very long time since its inception way back in 1964. Sources have revealed that the vehicle may launch the vehicle as a Halo product in its portfolio.
Under the hood, the India-bound model would be powered by 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to either 6-speed automatic or a 6-speed manual transmission that would generate a massive 420 bhp of power and 530 Nm of torque. The vehicle gets a new intake manifold system that ensures better fuel efficiency and lower emission numbers. In the international market the Mustang is also offered with two more engine options - 3.7-liter V6 engine that generates about 300bhp of power and 366 Nm of peak torque and a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that generates 305 bhp of power and 406 Nm of peak torque.
In terms of features, the India-bound Ford Mustang would be loaded with SYNC AppLink that allows drivers to tune-in to their favorite music via their Smartphone app, Push-Button start, Intelligent Access, and Microsoft SYNC and MyKey. Features like MyColor gauges, Track Apps and Shaker Pro audio system would be offered as optional. The pricing and other details may be known in the coming days.
