      Hero Dash scooter spied testing, launch soon

      Hero MotoCorp is extensively testing its upcoming 110cc scooter - the Dash - which will finally be launched in a month or two. The new scooter has been spied once again by GaadiWaadi. For people not in the know, the company has also begun the production of the scooter at its Gurgaon-based facility.

      The Dash will be the first scooter to get Hero’s self-developed 111cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that come mated to a CVT gearbox. This engine delivers a maximum power of 8.5bhp and 9.4Nm of torque. The scooter weighs 100kgs, and has a ground clearance of 155mm and a fuel tank capacity of 6-litres.

      The new 100cc Dash is likely to be offered in two trims – LX and VX. Features like a silencer cover, alloys with tubeless tyres and a USB mobile charger will be available only on the top-end VX variant. While, the LED taillight, analogue digital meter, service due indicator, dual tone mirrors, under seat storage lamp, key with e-code, an external fuel lid and telescopic front suspension will come standard. The scooter will also get an all-new metal body.

      Upon its launch, the Hero Dash will rival against the Honda Activa, Mahindra Gusto, TVS Jupiter, Yamaha Ray, Suzuki Let’s and others in the segment. It is likely to be offered within the price range of Rs. 50, 000 – Rs. 55, 000 (ex-showroom). After the Dash, the next product that the company will bring-in here is the new 150cc Zir Scooter.
