The Indian Scout Bobber has been launched at Rs 12.99 lakhs at the 2017 India Bike Week. It is based on the Scout, which is a cruiser, but the Bobber is more low-slung and has a blacked-out theme.
The riding position is also more aggressive than the Scout, because of the revised handlebar and footpeg position. The rear fender is chopped, and the pillion seat is an optional extra. However, it is powered by the same engine as the Scout - a 100bhp, 97Nm 1133cc liquid-cooled V-twin that feeds the rear wheel via a six-speed transmission and belt drive. There is a long list of options, including a pillion backrest, slip-on exhaust, saddlebags, spoke rims, engine guards, bar-end mirrors and monkey 'bars. It will be available in three paint schemes, red/black, silver/black and bronze/black.
As a starting offer, customers who book the Scout Bobber at the 2017 India Bike Week will get accessories worth Rs 1 lakh free.
