Mahindra has delayed the launch of its Mojo yet again. Showcased for the first time in 2010, the bike is being developed since and had been revealed again in 2014 with some minor changes. But, the company has failed to launch the bike till now. First it was supposed to be launched in 2014 but the manufacturer delayed it because of their scooter Gusto. The scooter failed and the company promised to launch the bike this year in August and the month has arrived but the bike has not.

Nobody is sure what the company is waiting for and nothing has been revealed officially. There are rumours that the bike will be launched in 2016 but we cannot trust this information too. Mahindra and TVS have a similar story; the latter is also delaying the launch of its new flagship bike which will be a 200 cc variant of Apache. The Mojo will be powered by a 295 cc engine which will spit out 27 bhp and 25 Nm of torque. Since the price is expected to be close to the Rs. 2 lakh mark, it will go against KTM RC 390 and Honda CBR250R.

Mahindra has not been able to replicate its four-wheeler success in the two-wheeler segment and seems very desperate to make amends with Mojo. But, it is failing to get the timing right and soon it may be too late to launch it. Fear looms that the bike may be totally scrapped or revamped because when it was showcased first it looked modern but now, though it looks different from any other bike offered in that price range, it seems a bit outdated.

Currently, there are only 3 two-wheelers on offer by the company. Two of them are scooters, namely, Gusto and Rodeo, powered by 109 cc and 124 cc engines respectively. Centuro is the only bike sold by Mahindra. It houses a 107 cc engine and is currently struggling against seasoned competitors- Honda Dream Yuga and Bajaj Discover.
