Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the country's largest Utility Vehicle (UV) maker, is looking ahead to roll out its iconic Quanto SUV in South Africa. The move is taken by the auto maker after witnessing an immediate attention from the Indian customers after the model sparkled at the Indian market in 2012 festive season. Post its launch in India, the model marked over 12,000 bookings, which provided it a good start. Following its success in the Indian market, the auto maker has pinned high hopes with Quanto in South African markets as well.

Designed on Ingenio platform, the angle of Quanto's rear seats has been contracted, whereas two additional foldable seats are packed in its boot. The new Xylo features high mounted tail lights, sleek wheel arches and roof rails, which makes it stand aside from other compact SUVs. Considering the interiors and features of this flagship model, individuals got to witness what was packed within the Mahindra Xylo.

Interestingly, Quanto happens to be the smallest SUV in Mahindra's Indian portfolio in sub-4 meter category. Reportedly, the model is targeted to that class of buyers, which are partial to entry-level sedans and diesel hatchbacks. As the auto maker is all set to break the covers from Quanto in South Africa any time soon, this model will come as a versatile vehicle, which will deliver impressive fuel economy at a competitive price. In India, the model is offered at a base price of around Rs. 5.8 lakhs.
