      Rolls Royce Dawn unveiled - Expected to be a Drophead Wraith

      Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has recently announced the name of its forthcoming car, putting down all speculations. Rolls Royce Dawn, as it has been named, will be a drophead (convertible) was recently unveiled at the Rolls Royce World Dealer Conference in Los Angeles at California in front of the representatives of the manufacturer’s global network of dealers.

      The Regional Director of Rolls Royce Motor Cars Asia-Pacific, Paul Harris said, “Rolls-Royce Dawn is a totally new car, designed from the ground up. It is the most social full four seat open-top super luxury motor car for customers who wish to bathe in the sunlight of the world’s most exclusive social hotspots. Rolls-Royce Dawn will also be the quietest soft-top ever made, and equally as quiet as a Wraith. Its roof will also offer a number of innovations which will be revealed in due course.”

      Rolls Royce used the Dawn name for the first time in 1949 and applied to only 28 convertible models between 1950 and 1954. The first Rolls Royce to be offered was the Silver Dawn, but the Dawn named models were originally customised coach-built models.

      The new model will be launched in the first quarter of 2016. It will be a Wraith convertible having a canvas top, deriving power from the identical 6.6 litre, twin-turbocharged V12 mill, which will generate 624 hp.
