      The car is useless

13 years ago | sandeep panwar

I have two Xeta in my family one is 2006 & another one 2008. The car is useless, having all sorts of problems our 2006 model had done just 40,000km but we had to change clutch plate, booster for brake, a/c compressor, coil, one sensor, battery, tyres. Company claim an average of 18km but its gives 14. The engine is 1400cc but its too weak for taking the car to 5th gear you need to wait until car crossed 60km/hr speed. Hence a useless creation by TATA

My most recent automobile purchase was the Tata Indica e Xeta, which cost me around Rs. 3.6 lacs. The car can definitely be improved on several accounts, but still manages to serves the purpose of a passenger car the best. The spacious cabin can accommodate around 5 passengers at one point and provide basic comfort features like air-conditioning system, power and adjustable steering wheel, music system with CD and MP3 player. Assembled with a 1193cc MPFI petrol engine the car delivers a favourable fuel economy of 14 kmpl on city roads and 17 kmpl on highways. The engine has the capacity of offering a maximum power of 65 bhp at the rate of 5000 rpm and maximum torque generation of 99 nm at the rate of 2700 rpm. On the downside, I have experienced a lot of trouble regarding the vehicle maintenance cost within the initial purchase months. The car regularly needs parts replacement that can be considerably expensive and is not a plus point for this Tata car. Moreover, the car also lacks basic safety functions that has become a necessity for car buyers today. Safety features like Anti-lock braking system, impact airbags and traction control system are not available in this car.

I have recently bought Indica eV2 Xeta GLX version after carefully testing several Tata Indica variants. I have always wanted a fuel efficient vehicle along with decent comfort and convenience cabin features. The top-of-the-class variant Indica eV2 Xeta GLX is powered with maximum passenger comfort features. The comfort feature that I find most favourable is the infotainment unit. For a hatchback, the car is well equipped with a well-defined music system with audio MP3\CD player and AM\FM radio. There are a number of additional equipment like Bluetooth connectivity, USB and auxiliary input that have proven to be quite useful. In terms of safety, I was very impressed with a variety of passenger safety features the car has to offer. Features especially for rear passengers such as rear door child safety locks and 3 point ELR rear side passenger seatbelts ensure safety for back passenger. Moreover, exterior features like front and rear fog lamps and high mounted stop lamps successfully cater greater visibility. Under the hood, Tata Indica eV2 Xeta GLX works on a 1193cc, Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) petrol engine. With this engine the car can deliver maximum power of 66 bhp at 5000 rpm and peak power of 100 Nm at 2700 rpm.

I always rely on my trustworthy and fuel efficient Tata Indica eV2 Xeta GLS for travelling in cities. The hatchback has a 1193cc petrol engine with a Multi Point Fuel Injection (MPFI) system. With this petrol engine, the car is capable of delivering quite a decent power output of 66 bhp at 5000 rpm. Towards the interior, the well spaced cabin can easily accommodate maximum number of five passengers. The cabin features can be improved considerably; however, there are many interior features that cater decent and comfortable driving experience. Some of the features include power steering, air-conditioning system, 2 way adjustable front seat headrests and remote controlled fuel lid and tailgate opening. On the other hand, the exterior design and structure is well-enhanced in comparison to previous models. Some exterior features that accentuate the hatchback's look are body coloured bumpers, motorised clear lens headlamps, clear lens side indicator headlamps and much more. In terms of safety, Tata Indica eV2 Xeta GLS is not packed with advanced safety features. However, simple features like child safety locks in back doors, collapsible steering column and 3 Point ELR front and rear side passenger seatbelts have great importance. With respect to its economical price, Tata Indica eV2 Xeta GLS offers a decent performance, optimal comfort as well as passenger safety features.
